SALYUT 7 - First Spacewalk - Real Speed, Stabilized Footage (1982) - Салют 7 Russian Space Station

Footage of the first EVA (spacewalk) performed by the first Salyut 7 space station crew on July 30, 1982. Anatoli Berezovoy and Valentin Lebedev arrived at the station on 13 May 1982 on Soyuz T-5 and remained for 211 days, until 10 December 1982. Salyut 7 (Салют-7) was a space station in Earth orbit from April 1982 to February 1991. Performing the first EVA from Salyut 7, Lebedev anchored himself with a foot restraint, while Berezovoy assisted from the hatch. After collecting and placing samples on the exterior surface of the spacecraft, Lebedev tested methods for assembly and disassembly work in space, including the Istok panel experiment of turning bolts with a special wrench. The EVA lasted 2 h 33 min.
