Grumman LEM cockpit

I'm modeling a simple retro styled cockpit for the Lunar Excursion Module. It's based on Gemini technology, with some allowances for Orbiter's MFDs. It's not historical or based on any actual proposal. The pilot will have the two MFD screens in the panel immediately in front of him, and some (I hope) working indicators on the middle panel (fuel, thrust, altitude, speed, ADI ball, etc). On the right side I'll simply put some switches and generic indicators, just for show.

Illustrations for the Brazilian Space Program add-on

Here are some illustrations for the Brazilian Space Program add-on documentation. They show the VLS-1 rocket configuration (labeled in English and Portuguese) and the launch profile with approximate times.

Modeling the Alcantara Launch Center

I'm doing more detailed meshes of the Alcantara Launch Center (CLA) structures. Since I released the first version of the Brazilian Space Program add-on the real program itself has made progress, and new reference material about the Alcântara base and the VLS plus VLM rockets has emerged. I can now do a reasonable representation of the new VLS integration tower and pad. Also, the sounding rockets pad (used by the VS-40) has some new details, including the blockhouse.

Brazilian Space Program

I'm working on the Brazilian Space Program. Here's the VLM (Veiculo Lançador de Microsatélites) ready to go from Alcantara base in Orbiter. This is the current proposed configuration: The old configuration (VLS derived) will also be avaliable. It looks like this: The VS40 SARA, mentioned on previous posts, now has it's tower. And there will be parachutes: Finally, here's a preview of the VLS-Alfa (upgraded version of the VLS rocket): Having fun modeling these nice rockets!

Buran OK-GLI cockpit released

The Buran OK-GLI cockpit add-on for Orbiter space simulator is finally released! Get it here: http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=5781   Add-on Description: This addon will add a Virtual cockpit to the OK-GLI Buran aerotester. The provided spacecraft3.dll config will also give a more realistic aerodynamic handling (at least in my opinion). It is based on the "Yasishchev VM-T with Shuttle" addon by kev33 (required) and, besides the config file, no other files are changed. Usage: Select the An225 & Myasishchev VM-T » K-Powered-Buran scenario and press F8 to view the Virtual Cockpit. One CRT and one instrument are configured to display MFDs. Credits: kev33 - original addon, configs, meshes and textures 4throck - cockpit mesh, textures and updated config

Surface bases for the "Lusophone Space Agency"

Kind of a side project that started from discussions between the Portuguese speaking space simulation enthusiasts. This add-on groups several bases created for the Lusophone Space Agency: Amílcar Cabral Airport (Cape Verde) Beja Airport (Portugal) Angola International Airport Macau International Airport (China) São Tomé and Príncipe International Airport Timor International Airport Alcântara Launch Center and Airport(Brazil)   The bases follow the actual airport layouts and no structures were added. The exception is Angola International Airport, as it is under construction and was created based on project renderings.   Standard Orbiter base blocks were used for all structures (with the exception of Alcântara Launch Center), in order to provide good performance. Landsat based Surface tiles are provided, complemented by other aerial imagery when available.  The Lusophone Space Program is based on space tourism, using for that the well known D...

Buran OK-GLI cockpit

I'm adding the final touches to the Buran OK-GLI virtual cockpit! This project took me a long time to finish, as source photos were dificult to sort out. The aerotester (OK-GLI) and the orbital vehicles have slightly diferent instrumentation to complicate things. Also, only the aerotester was actually finished, meaning that most of the orbital version's panels displayed are mock-ups or incomplete versions.

Ultra probe cockpit

I'm working on a virtual cockpit for the Space:1999 Ultra Probe. Textures from my Eagle cockpit are being reused because screenshots from the series are not clear enough to detail all the panels.

Suisei & Sakigake for Orbiter 2010

My Suisei and Sakigake probe models are released as part of an addon for Orbiter Space Flight Simulator.  Get it from Orbiter hangar using this link:  http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4696 "Suisei & Sakigake - Halley Armada Pt.1 by Jupiter, 4thRock, BrianJ Two Japanese spacecraft launched in 1985 as part of the international fleet of vessels sent to study Comet Halley during 1986. Launched in January and August from Kagoshima on the solid-fuel M-3IIS rocket, the extended missions for these probes included the possibility of flybys of two other comets via Earth gravity assists.   Add-on includes: Suisei & Sakigake spacecraft, M-3IIS launcher, Kagoshima launch pad, launch and rendezvous scenarios, flight notes, comets 1P_Halley, 21P_GiacobiniZinner, 26P_GriggSkjellerup, 45P_HMP (HondaMrkosPajdusakova)."

Venera model

I'm working on a Venera Venus lander model for Orbiter. It's based on Venera 9 with the surface lights, although not 100% accurate. Also, here's the landing sphere (bottom portion). The lander enters the Venusian atmosphere inside it.

MIR space station photo-realistic textures 1.0

Texture repaint Orbiter add-on. High resolution photo-real accurate detailed textures for the MIR space station complex. Shows the station with the effects of exposure to space environment, with consistent discoloration based on photos. Solar panels, base module and radiators are very detailed (>1024 pixels). Thermal blankets are 2048 pixel to show small scale fabric texture. High resolution accurate detailed textures for the MIR space station base module. Shows the station base module after launch, before the effects of exposure to space environment. Solar panels and base module are very detailed (>1024 pixels). Thermal blankets are 2048 pixel to show small scale fabric texture. This repaint is available for the "Mir Space Station v.1.3" and "Proton Launch Vehicle v...

Skylab photo-realistic textures

Updated photo-realistic textures for Skylab, created from the best available photos. Focus was on solar panel textures, that are now of higher resolution and with better detail on the back side. Texture repaint only, the "Skylab1973v2.1" or "Skylab1980" add-ons by "usonian" are required. Download from Orbiter Hangar
